Uttar Pradesh-Punjab-Chandigarh-Uttarakhand disqualified & then allowed to participate in Sub-Junior National Football championship 2015-16

 NEW DELHI: As per the recent initiative of All India Football Federation to curb age cheating, a two member Team inclusive of a doctor, was sent to each venue of the ongoing Sub-junior National Football Championship 2015-16.

According to the investigation that was carried out by the Team, one Player from each of the following States – Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh and Uttarakhad – was found to be over-aged following independent medical tests.
 
Therefore, as per the Competition regulations, the abovementioned States have been disqualified from the Sub-junior National Football Championship 2015-16 in line with AIFF’s zero tolerance policy on age cheating.
 
Other disciplinary actions will be initiated as per applicable AIFF regulations.  
 
Keeping in mind the sporting consideration, the All India Football Federation have allowed the four disqualified Teams – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh and Punjab to play in the Sub Junior National Football Championship 2015-16 with the right age players but no points will be awarded to the Teams for their fixtures in the Tournament. 
 
This is with the view that the right age Players should have a chance to play and participate in the scouting process for the AIFF Academy at Imphal .
